About Circle of Concern

George and Betty Wakeling have three children and seven grandchildren. Both have actively served in several ministries since 1966. In 1973, George and Betty joined together in forming Concept 7 - a residential treatment center for sexually abused and neglected children. The success of that organization later led to the establishment (in 1987) of Circle of Concern - a foundation with broad concerns for the economically disadvantaged. George's administrative skills are complimented by Betty's experience as a counseling professional, and the vision and commitment they have for ministry is shared by the board and staff of COC.
