Mission Statement
“Encircling those in need with the loving concern of those who care”
Circle of Concern is a non-profit organization which proposes to seek out those extraordinary ministries serving others and join them in a practical way with resources and individuals who care.
Our short term ministry trips offer individuals and groups the opportunity to minister in a practical way. Whether your skills lie in the areas of medical, dental or vision care, construction, teaching or nurturing a small child, you are needed. Often these trips are combined with opportunities to relax, surf or enjoy sharing Christ with those we come in contact with.
Donations made directly to Circle of Concern or through
items donated to our thrift store enable us to financially
support ministries who: run homes for pregnant teens,
provide shelter for battered children, find beds for
the homeless, provide eyeglasses and eye care, dental
services and medical services for those in desperate
need. We often provide food, clothing, medicine, and
life-saving medical equipment directly to orphanages,
clinics and pediatric hospitals as well as to individuals
who may otherwise have “fallen through the cracks”.
Circle of Concern will often provide consulting to
organizations as to the best way to set up their ministry,
introduce them to people looking for someone to help,
or connect them with non-profit organizations which
can provide the supplies or assistance they need.
Circle of Concern seeks to be small enough to help an individual, yet large enough to make a difference.
Doctrinal Statement
Because Circle of Concern is committed to working inter-denominationally, we do not emphasize a specific denominational doctrinal statement but in its place affirm that…
The Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God’s Son. We believe that man is created in God’s image and that He has created us to have eternal life through Christ. Although all men have sinned and come short of God’s glory and are eternally lost without Christ, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that repentance, faith, love and obedience are necessary and fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace towards us and that God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We believe that the Holy Spirit’s power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishing of Christ’s last commandment: “ Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15)
